Non seulement les prédictions que le monde “est à court de pétrole” sont fausses et éronées, mais aussi le sont les suggestions que l’exploration pétrolière et l’industrie de production pétrolière sont arrivées à “maturité” ou sont “sur le déclin”. L’expérience de l’auteur de cet article, expérience gagnée à travailler dans l’ancienne URSS durant les cinq dernières années, a fourni la preuve irréfutable que l’industrie du pétrole est en fait en train d’entrer dans sa période d’adolescence.
